LIFE COACHING MATTERS

Ever since Adam hid from God in the garden, we men have been struggling to prove ourselves.

Yet, when pushed, we often hide behind comforts.

We compromise ourselves by not leading the life that God created us for.

We timidly accept the lies that the devil plants in our minds.

If you are ready to step up your game and fight for what really matters, let’s talk about how coaching will help.

Z

Faithful

When you are trying to change your life, you want to be sure that a guide is deeply rooted and connected to the Catholic Faith. It’s just so important!

Z

Rapid

Unlike therapy, one of the goals of coaching is to teach and empower you to help yourself. Additionally, each session you’ll be given homework to complete. Many clients see significant transformations even after the first few sessions!

Z

Confidential

The topics we cover are extremely private and personal. Nothing you discuss will ever be disclosed elsewhere. We call it the “next best thing to the confessional.”

Z

Transformative

The Coaching Process is capable of creating stunning changes to your life. The devil wants us to believe we are trapped; we’ll help you get free from his lies!

CATHOLIC LIFE COACHING WORKS

There is only one thing standing between you and the man God wants you to be.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7

Unfortunately, we can’t see it clearly. We’re too deep in. In sports, business, and life, a great coach can see what we can’t see ourselves.

191 – Music and Purpose with John Michael Talbot

The early church (and much of the modern Eastern church) had this strong Contemplative component that provided a powerful basis for Christians. This component is, sadly, mostly missing from our modern western Latin Rite Catholicism.

But what if what we lost is actually really important?

What if we need both contemplative time and community life at times?

Join me in this episode as Catholic music composer and community founder John Michael Talbot talks about his life with me. He not only shares a powerful story, he talks about how God was active in his life to bring him to a deeper and more powerful connection.

Music was a major part of his story and life. You can read about his music at https://johnmichaeltalbot.com/

190 – Differences Between Coaching and Therapy

One of the most common questions I get is what are the actual differences between Coaching and Therapy. While there are some common challenges between them, there are also some significant differences.

Coaching, much like in a gym, is much more of a push to do your best. Therapy, at it’s finest, is a gentle nurturing restoration of traumatic damage. There’s a time and a place for each, but there’s definitely a modern trend to turn to therapy too quickly for too many things.

Join me in this episode as I explore some of the major differences between therapy and coaching, both in people who work in each field and how the fields work. I’ll also give you some practical ways to help decide where you should go to get the help you need!

189 – Conquering Addiction with Ryan Penley

We all get into a low slump at times in our lives. Some of those times are lower than others.

Most men, when we get into a sticky and dark situation, really struggle to accept help. It seems like simply too much.

Join me in this episode as Ryan Penley shares his story of addiction, and how one man’s tenderness and gentleness finally cut through his defensive shell and inspired him to get help. Wherever you are in your struggles, or if you know someone else who is struggling, kindness, tenderness, and compassion are a secret weapon for finding help.

Testimonials

Our Awesome Clients

John Taylor

I was led to Michael at a time when I needed a really good guy in my corner. His devout, patient and often humorous wisdom helped draw out a number of life obstacles that I've been wrestling to address since my childhood. He was a mentor, guide, role model, and sounding board. Throughout the experience, he challenged me to grow, a lot, but was never intrusive and has an extraordinary gift for sensing where someone 'is'.

If you're even mildly interested in a Catholic life coach, I highly recommend speaking to Michael.

Zach B

"Michael's authenticity with faith and advice, and desire to help me improve showed through on each call. I genuinely felt like he sought the best for me. He compassionately challenges what I bring to the table and I always end our conversations with practical action items to help build me as a man."

Jim Johnson

CEO & Founder

"Insightful, deep diving, and sincere! Michael did an incredible job getting me to admit to myself my TRUE personal goals and steps to accomplish them. Thank you for pushing me to be a better man of God"

Skylar C

Michael helped me in both practical and spiritual struggles I was
having as I navigated some difficult life circumstances. He helped me
work on my resume to summarize my most important skills and personal
qualities at the top, and that alone was enough to make the coaching
worth it; I immediately started getting more interviews, and landed a
job within three months after a much longer search. Just as
importantly, Michael shared wisdom about improving my relationship
with God, discerning decisions for myself and my family, and on
communication with my wife as we prepared for the arrival of our first
child. He shared that it is important to be gentle with ourselves
about past, current and future mistakes, while continuing to fight
vigorously to be the man God wants us to be. I know that some of these
ideas helped me boost my confidence so that I could create a strong
bond with my child right away. My life has vastly improved over the
past year, and while that took God's will and some good luck,
Michael's coaching changed the way I presented myself and made
decisions; more men need this.

Jay Coltrain

Mechanical Engineer & Entrepreneur

“It has been extremely helpful to have someone that can look at things from an outside perspective and ask objective, and hard, questions and then follow that up with some great resource recommendations. Michael has helped me question my own assumptions which has allowed me to get clear and focused on my goals and objectives and be able to make changes in my circumstances and life.”
